I Came Home After Four Years And Found My Wife Washing Up In My Own Kitchen In A Hat She Would Not Take Off
A work of fiction. The characters and events are invented; any resemblance to real people is coincidental.
My name is David Carter. I was deployed for four years and I came home eleven days early without telling anybody, because I wanted to see my wife's face when she opened the door. This is an account of what I found in my own house, and of the eleven days afterwards in which I said nothing at all, and it is written down because a lawyer asked me to write it down and because Gwen has read every page of it and told me to put the rest in as well.
